Research & Development

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The bread and butter of Goethe-CVI - the scientific research on cardiac imaging.

Long-term cardiac pathology in individuals with mild initial COVID-19 illness

Cardiac symptoms are increasingly recognized as late complications of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection in previously well individuals with mild initial illness, but the underlying pathophysiology leading to long-term cardiac symptoms remains unclear.

Magnetic Resonance Perfusion or Fractional Flow Reserve in Coronary Disease

In patients with stable angina, two strategies are often used to guide revascularization: one involves myocardial-perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and the other involves invasive angiography and measurement of fractional flow reserve (FFR). Whether a cardiovascular MRI-based strategy is noninferior to an FFR-based strategy with respect to major adverse cardiac events has not been established.

Outcomes of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Patients Recently Recovered From Coronavirus Disease 2019

Background—The analysis of wall motion abnormalities with dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE) is an established method for the detection of myocardial ischemia. With ultrafast magnetic resonance tomography, identical stress protocols as used for echocardiography can be applied.

Outcomes of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Patients Recently Recovered From Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) continues to cause considerable morbidity and mortality worldwide. Case reports of hospitalized patients suggest that COVID-19 prominently affects the cardiovascular system, but the overall impact remains unknown. In this prospective observational cohort study, 100 patients recently recovered from COVID-19 illness were identified from the University Hospital Frankfurt COVID-19 Registry between April and June 2020.

Noninvasive Diagnosis of Ischemia-Induced Wall Motion Abnormalities With the Use of High-Dose Dobutamine Stress MRI

Background—The analysis of wall motion abnormalities with dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE) is an established method for the detection of myocardial ischemia. With ultrafast magnetic resonance tomography, identical stress protocols as used for echocardiography can be applied.
